Position Title: Fifth Grade Teacher

School: Holy Family Catholic Academy

Position Overview: Holy Family Catholic Academy is seeking a dynamic and faith-filled Fifth Grade Teacher to join our school community. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) Candidate School we are committed to developing inquiring knowledgeable and compassionate students who are prepared to positively impact the world. The Fifth Grade Teacher will serve as a homeroom teacher responsible for fostering a nurturing academically rigorous and faith-centered classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging standards-based instruction across core subject areas (e.g. English Language Arts Math Science Social Studies)
• Foster a classroom culture rooted in Catholic values respect and a love of learning
• Support the development of the whole childacademically socially emotionally and spiritually
• Incorporate inquiry-based and student-centered instructional practices aligned with IB philosophy
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
• Assess student progress regularly and communicate effectively with students parents and administration
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school-wide initiatives and continuous improvement
• Participate actively in school life including liturgies events and professional development
• Passion for fostering global citizenship academic excellence and faith formation
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with students and families
• Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative mission-driven school environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred)
• Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain certification)
• Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to support the mission of the Church
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Experience with or openness to International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy and practices preferred
