Job Summary

Granby Memorial High School is seeking an organized detail-oriented and enthusiastic Athletics Secretary (.5 FTE) to support the Athletic Department. This 10-month position plays an important role in ensuring the efficient daily operations of the athletic program while providing administrative support that contributes to a positive experience for student-athletes coaches families and the school community.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. (190-day position)

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage the athletic department budget including purchase orders bus invoices bank deposits and financial recordkeeping.
  • Coordinate athletic schedules transportation and related logistics.
  • Maintain athletic rosters and student participation records.
  • Monitor athlete physicals medical documentation and eligibility deadlines.
  • Coordinate student activity forms fundraising requests and departmental paperwork.
  • Maintain athletic equipment inventory and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Promote athletic events and achievements through social media and other communication platforms.
  • Facilitate communication with coaches students families officials and community partners.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with budgeting purchase orders and financial recordkeeping preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience using Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; school-based software experience is preferred.
  • Experience with social media promotion and communications is desirable.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and build positive working relationships with students staff families and the community.
