iCademy teachers build strong relationships with students through regular live instruction personalized feedback and consistent communication with families in a highly collaborative virtual environment.

We are seeking a 4th Grade Self-Contained Teacher to provide engaging standards-aligned instruction across core subject areas in a primarily virtual environment with limited on-site expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality instruction in core content areas including English Language Arts Mathematics Science and Social Studies aligned to Michigan Academic Standards
• Plan and facilitate live and asynchronous lessons that promote student engagement and ownership of learning
• Assess student learning and provide timely meaningful feedback
• Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners including students with IEPs 504 plans and varying academic needs
• Build strong relationships with students and families to support academic and social-emotional growth
• Maintain accurate attendance grading and required documentation
• Communicate regularly with families regarding progress expectations and supports
• Collaborate with colleagues interventionists and support staff
• Participate in meetings professional learning and required school events
• Uphold iCademy Global policies procedures and expectations

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or higher in Elementary Education or a related field
• Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an elementary all-subjects endorsement (Kï½5 Kï½8 or Upper Elementary 3ï½6) or ability to obtain.
• Experience teaching upper elementary students
• Strong communication organization and classroom management skills
• Comfort using technology and virtual learning platforms

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a virtual or blended learning environment
• Familiarity with Michigan Academic Standards
• Experience working with diverse student populations

Work Environment:

• Primarily remote with scheduled on-site requirements
• On-site one day per week during the school year (Tuesdays)
• Additional on-site attendance required for state testing new student orientation and other required school events
• Reliable internet access and appropriate home workspace required

Position Details

• Full-time exempt. School-year position
• 26-27 School Year
• Balanced Calendar ( Step 0 - $50000.00
• Additional compensation is available based on verified years of relevant experience.
