Job Summary

St. Thomas Aquinas Parish School in East Lansing is seeking a Fourth Grade Math & Social Studies Teacher for 2026-2027 school year. The position is a full-time position reporting to the principal. The successful candidate must be faith-filled have strong classroom management skills is dynamic compassionate energetic and willing to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Candidate qualifications and requirements:

Bachelors degree in elementary education from an accredited university
Valid Michigan teaching certification
Must pass a criminal background check
Complete Protecting Gods Children program
Must have a strong working knowledge of the Faith
Ability with computers and other educational technology
Committed to life-long learning and
Ability to communicate effectively with parents.

Physical Demands: While performing duties employee has to walk up and down stairs sit stoop squat stand reach talk hear read write use a computer and carry items that weigh up to 40 pounds. Teachers are in close physical contact with their students through teaching in the classroom. Teachers will also be in close physical contact with coworkers and parents during meetings throughout the school year.
