4-H Mentoring Site Coordinator

The Site Coordinator is responsible for recruiting training and supporting volunteer mentors and matching them with referred youth at Roosevelt Elementary Schools. This position works to foster positive youth development by coordinating meaningful mentoring experiences family engagement opportunities and service-learning activities.

• Recruit and engage 20 to 25 youth participants from each elementary school site.
• Recruit screen train and support up to eight teen volunteer mentors.
• Create and facilitate mentoring groups by matching youth participants with trained teen mentors.
• Monitor mentoring relationships to ensure positive engagement and program success.
• Assist in planning and implementing monthly Family Night Out events and group mentoring activities.
• Lead a weekly 4-H Afterschool Club delivering educational and enrichment programming for youth.

• Work is primarily performed in a school and community-based environment.
• Regular interaction with youth volunteer mentors families school personnel and community partners is required.
• Must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with students volunteers and school staff.
• Occasional attendance at evening or off-site program activities may be required.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and carry materials and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to move throughout school facilities and activity locations to support program operations and events.
