Position Overview

Connectuscorp is seeking a highly organized detail-oriented 3PL Configuration Specialist to support the configuration setup and execution of customer-specific logistics programs within a fast-paced third-party logistics environment.

This role is ideal for someone who is agile flexible highly attentive to detail and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously. The Configuration Specialist will be responsible for translating customer requirements and Statements of Work (SOWs) into accurate operational configurations workflows instructions and processes.

The position requires the ability to follow intricate multi-step processes while recognizing that requirements priorities and customer needs can change quickly. The successful candidate will be disciplined enough to follow established procedures precisely while remaining adaptable when circumstances require a change in direction.

Key Responsibilities
Configuration & Program Setup
  • Configure customer programs according to approved requirements Statements of Work (SOWs) specifications and operational procedures.
  • Translate customer and business requirements into clear executable configurations and workflows.
  • Set up and maintain customer-specific requirements related to inventory receiving fulfillment shipping device handling kitting labeling packaging and other logistics activities.
  • Ensure configurations accurately reflect contractual and operational requirements before programs move into production.
  • Perform detailed reviews and validation of configurations prior to implementation.
  • Maintain configuration documentation and update requirements as programs evolve.
  • Follow established change-control processes when customer or operational requirements are modified.
  • Coordinate configuration changes across systems processes and operational documentation.
Process Execution & Quality
  • Follow detailed intricate and sometimes customer-specific processes with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Execute multi-step procedures without skipping required validation or quality-control activities.
  • Carefully review documentation specifications work instructions and customer requirements.
  • Identify discrepancies missing information conflicting requirements or potential configuration issues before they impact operations.
  • Conduct quality checks to confirm configurations meet documented requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of configuration decisions changes testing and approvals.
  • Support root-cause analysis when configuration or process issues occur.
  • Help improve documentation and processes based on lessons learned from implementations.
Multitasking & Prioritization
  • Manage multiple customer configurations projects changes and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Prioritize work based on customer commitments implementation schedules operational dependencies and business impact.
  • Shift between projects and priorities quickly while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Track open items dependencies approvals and outstanding requirements across multiple programs.
  • Recognize when priorities have changed and adjust workload accordingly.
  • Communicate proactively when timelines requirements or dependencies create potential risks.
  • Maintain organization and documentation even when managing a high volume of concurrent activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Account Management Operations Warehouse IT Solutions Sales and customer-facing teams.
  • Participate in customer onboarding and implementation activities.
  • Review SOWs customer requirements and implementation documentation to ensure operational requirements are clearly understood.
  • Ask detailed questions to clarify ambiguous or incomplete requirements before configuration.
  • Coordinate with technical teams when configurations involve system integrations automation data exchanges or other technology dependencies.
  • Support operational teams during new customer launches and program changes.
  • Communicate configuration requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Escalate risks inconsistencies or unresolved requirements to the appropriate teams.

This position requires someone who can consistently follow complex detailed procedures. Small configuration errors can create downstream operational issues making accuracy documentation and process adherence critical.

Multitasking

The Configuration Specialist will frequently have several active projects or customer requests at different stages of completion. The ability to organize prioritize and move efficiently between tasks is essential.

The successful candidate naturally notices inconsistencies and asks questions when something does not look right. They understand that assumptions should be validated before configurations are moved into production.

Not every customer requirement will fit perfectly within an existing process. The Configuration Specialist must be able to identify problems evaluate options collaborate with the appropriate teams and help develop practical solutions.

Strong written and verbal communication is essential. The Configuration Specialist must be able to clearly document requirements explain configuration decisions identify risks and communicate status across multiple teams.

Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in 3PL logistics supply chain warehouse operations configuration implementation project coordination or a related operational environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow detailed and multi-step processes accurately.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change frequently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to interpret business requirements process documentation work instructions and Statements of Work.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working across multiple systems and learning new platforms quickly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience within a third-party logistics (3PL) environment.
  • Experience supporting customer onboarding or implementation projects.
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Transportation Management Systems (TMS) ERP platforms order management systems or inventory management platforms.
  • Experience configuring customer-specific workflows business rules or operational requirements.
  • Experience working from SOWs implementation documents process maps or technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with inventory management fulfillment shipping receiving kitting device configuration or reverse logistics processes.
  • Experience with process documentation change management and quality-control procedures.
