Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 5:00 PM with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed
Location: Newton NC 28658 (100% Onsite)

Position SummaryThe 3D Print Technician / Process Technician II supports manufacturing operations through 3D design printing testing process monitoring quality control and equipment support activities. The ideal candidate has strong Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks experience enjoys hands-on troubleshooting and can work effectively across engineering production and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities Operations & Process Support-
Operate monitor and support optical ribbon and fiber optic cable manufacturing processes

Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements

Monitor production lines and identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiency

Support process troubleshooting and operational issue resolution

Create modify and test 3D models using Autodesk Inventor
-
Develop and print prototype and production-support components
-
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve equipment and production processes
-
Support equipment reliability and preventative maintenance initiatives
-
Assist with design validation testing and implementation of mechanical components
-
Follow cleanroom procedures safety requirements and standard operating procedures
-
Monitor quality metrics and support corrective actions when necessary
-
Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities
-
Support compliance with quality standards specifications and manufacturing requirements
-
Analyze process and production data to improve yield throughput and uptime
-
Support Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives

Assist with new equipment installation process transfers and production scale-up activities

Contribute to process optimization and operational excellence projects

High School Diploma or GED
-
Strong proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks
-
Hands-on experience with 3D modeling 3D printing and mechanical component design

Experience troubleshooting manufacturing or production equipment
-
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings specifications and procedures
-
Knowledge of SPC manufacturing systems and process data analysis
-
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
-
Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Associates Degree in Engineering Technology or related technical field
-
Experience supporting cleanroom manufacturing environments
-
Optical fiber ribbon fiber or cable manufacturing experience
-
Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
-
Experience supporting manufacturing scale-up activities
-
Knowledge of contamination control and cleanroom operations
-
Controlled cleanroom manufacturing facility
-
Exposure to optical fiber materials manufacturing equipment and production processes
-
Frequent standing and walking throughout the manufacturing floor
-
Manual dexterity required for precision handling and equipment adjustments
-
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Ability to wear cleanroom garments for the duration of the shift
