Job Summary

Paint Line Supervisor 2nd shift

A Paint Line Supervisor is to oversee the day-to-day paint line operations including the safety and monitoring of team members minimize production downtime and ensure a quality product.

Essential Duties

  • Promotes a safe and clean work environment where safety is the highest priority
  • and embedded in our culture.
  • Complete shipments of products required by daily schedules as communicated.
  • Making sure all jobs are performed in a safe environment.
  • Understand the E-coat processes which contain the monitoring of the Dip Tanks
  • and changing of paint bag filters.
  • Knowledge of the chemicals and balance concerning the Paint Dip System
  • Utilize and understand the manpower effectiveness of the break relief team
  • members and Utility personnel as required.
  • Manage the equipment downtime and repairs with the assistance of the
  • Maintenance Department as needed.
  • Implementing Working Standards Job Cards and Safety Standards for Team
  • Members (PPE).
  • Manage overtime and manpower requirement as needed for each production
  • model.
  • Communicate changes as needed between shifts to other supervisors and
  • managers.
  • Audit production numbers and quality concerns on a daily basis to Product
  • Control and to the Quality Engineer.
  • Maintains working relationship with the union by following the terms of the
  • collective bargaining agreement.
  • Address personnel issues with Team Members when they arise and keep Human
  • Resources informed.
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Perform other job duties as assigned

Qualifications Required

  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 2 years previous supervisor experience in manufacturing.
  • Organizational and leadership skills together with a result driven approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and efficient problem solver
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
