Are you ready to make your mark If youre a The NDT Test Technician 2 we have an exciting opportunity for you. The NDT Test Technician 2 reports to the manufacturing supervisor and is responsible for inspecting and validating hardware per applicable processes (e.g. magnetic particle ultrasonic radiography radioscopy load tests casting inspection penetrate inspection) and writing non-conformance reports in an industrial setting. The position involves providing guidance to other members works independently under limited supervision and problem solving.

Essential Functions

• Inspect and validate hardware per applicable processes (e.g. magnetic particle ultrasonic radiography radioscopy load tests casting inspection penetrate inspection).
• Develop inspection techniques and product dispositions in accordance with processing and engineering specifications.
• Complete necessary paperwork and computer entries accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicate information to others about project status updates specific instructions etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting using applicable equipment.
• Treat materials and post clean parts per applicable work equipment.
• Verify the calibration of equipment and expiration dates.
• Identify document and control non conforming material according to procedures.

Other Functions

• Promote teamwork within the organization.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge of and the ability to use a variety of basic hand tools (e.g. wrenches hammers screwdrivers scrappers box cutters).
• Knowledge of part special handling guidelines and specifications. This includes researching part-handling instructions using facility databases or work orders and following the handling procedures required.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement processes to improve operational effectiveness.
• Knowledge of how quality impacts the success of the organization including costs to customers costs of recalls and potential costs due to negative impacts on a companys reputation. This includes taking the necessary steps to ensure quality on a consistent basis and striving for improvement.
• The ability to use computer and web-based systems to input access modify or output information or to execute programs.
• The ability to write effectively to read and understand work documents to communicate information clearly to coworkers and supervisors and the ability to listen attentively and comprehend key pieces of spoken information.
• General knowledge of machines and equipment functionality and how tools could be used on such equipment/machines. This includes the ability to learn new systems quickly understanding how parts relate and how they impact system functionality. The position also requires manual dexterity or the ability to work quickly with hands.

Education or Formal Training

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience Required

• Less than 2 years related work experience required.

Licenses and Certifications

• NAS-410 Certified Level 2 required.
