2nd Shift Maintenance Technician Lead

Cardinal LG a laminated glass manufacturer in Jessup is looking for a Lead 2nd shift Maintenance Technician who is dependable has a positive attitude and works effectively in a team environment. The Lead Maintenance Technician serves as a working leader partnering with production to improve equipment reliability reduce downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Brief Job Description: The work will include maintaining troubleshooting and repairing production and facilities equipment.

Hours: Monday - Friday 10-hour rotating schedule from 2:30pm - 1:00am with a rotating 4-day weekend

Rate: $25 - $27 based on experience

Educational Requirements: Technical 2-year degree or a minimum of 2 years of verifiable industrial work.

Experience: Previous manufacturing experience required. Demonstrating leadership or technician experience preferred.

Dress Code: PPE materials and gear will be provided as needed per task. Adherence to PPE will be mandatory.

Essential Job Tasks:

• Work on 3 phase 480VAC electrical equipment along with 240Vac 120Vac and low voltage DC instrumentation.
• PLC controlled equipment.
• Ensure preventative maintenance activities are completed on schedule and documented appropriately.
• Mechanical work will be on pneumatic some hydraulics and multiple chain drives and gearboxes.
• Strong working knowledge of electrical systems mechanical systems industrial troubleshooting and repairs.
• Assist with facility maintenance projects and capital improvement initiatives.
• Monitor equipment condition and recommend repairs upgrades or replacements as needed.
• Mentor coach and train team members on maintenance procedures troubleshooting techniques and equipment operation.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment by identifying hazards correcting unsafe conditions and ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Must be able to bend twist squat kneel or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to communicate effectively and safely perform work in an industrial environment.
