2nd shift Lead Test Engineer

The Test Engineer is a hands-on role responsible for interfacing with the Design Engineering teams in the planning design development instrumentation and execution of validation testing of energy products in the Greenville Technology Lab (GTL) facility in Greenville addition to responsibilities managing their own programs the second shift engineer supports first shift engineering in their ongoing testing responsibilities.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for integrating engineering requirements with Design Engineering Facilities and Instrumentation Engineering and Data Systems Engineering in the design development and test execution to prove out component and system functionality and reliability.
• Provide technical assistance to Assembly and Instrumentation personnel. Author technical documents that define actions needed to execute per customer requirements.
• Oversee every aspect of test build execution and posttest reporting/billing.
• Responsible for operational compliance with ISO requirements.
• Responsible for full compliance with GE and regulatory EHS policies.
• Maintain a safe work environment with a goal of zero injuries.
• Work directly with customers both internal and external to GE Vernova.
• Develop and implement process improvements that align with our LEAN tools.
• This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e. U.S. citizens permanent residents and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
• This role is 100% on site 5 days a week to support the quality build and execution of combustion tests. Travel is not expected for this role.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related Engineering / Science from an accredited college or university.
• At least 6 years of experience in validation testing gas turbine design or process facility operations.

Desired Characteristics

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well with all levels within the organization
• Boundaryless thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience with high-pressure / high-temperature fuel inert gas and air systems
• Experience in combustion design or installation
• Strong interest/knowledge around measurement technology & metrology
• Strong desire for hands-on engineering applications.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position the pay range for this position is between $89300.00 and $148700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
