The 2nd ShiftDisassembly/Assembly Technician is a full-time on-site position based in Fort Lauderdale Florida. This role is primarily focused on facilities-related duties including maintaining a clean safe and organized work environment supporting equipment setup and breakdown and ensuring work areas meet safety and operational addition the technician is responsible for disassembling cleaning inspecting and tagging aircraft components while actively identifying opportunities to improve processes safety quality and overall efficiency.

Eligibility Requirement: Only U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents will be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:
  • Complex production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies subassemblies and aircraft systems equipment and accessories using manual operations.
  • Follows approved assembly procedures for component or aircraft structures consulting internal procedures that have been FAA approved original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) technical data and work package instructions.
  • Utilization of comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components.
  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft structural modification and repair and the ability to determine the functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
  • Operation of unique aircraft tools such as test equipment torque wrenches dial indicators micrometers cable tensiometers sheet metal brakes sheers etc.
  • Applies professional technical expertise and guidance to execute complex structures work including but not limited to pull holes match & back drilling fastener removals riveting sleeve bolt drilling and system wire and tube installations.
  • Reads and interprets engineering drawings technical orders process specifications and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification/repair.
  • Maintains necessary certifications licenses and permits as required for assigned work.
Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience removing and restoring aircraft assemblies.
  • Must have a minimum of a high school education or equivalent and 1 to 3 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience assembling aircraft/aerospace parts components and/or assemblies using applicable drawings specifications quality standards and manufacturing plans.
  • Possess the ability to construct install dismantle relocate modify and/or repair OEM equipment of all types.
  • Knowledge of wiring schematics on understanding and reading a manual to install components.
