Emerson is seeking a motivated and dependable 2nd Shift Cycle Count Team Leader to join our warehouse team in Houston Texas. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment values accuracy and is passionate about supporting a small team while contributing to operational excellence.
Current working schedule 2:00 to 10:30pm Monday through Thursday. Fridays 1pm to 9:30pm. Schedules are subject to change per operational needs.
Overtime opportunities as needed.
In this position you will coordinate the daily activities of a small hourly team while actively participating in warehouse operations. You will help ensure inventory accuracy and support receiving put-away order picking cycle counting and crating activities to meet customer and production requirements.
In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Coordinate the daily activities of the cycle count team including assigning work providing training coaching and support.
Lead inventory control efforts by performing cycle counts audits and ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
Investigate inventory discrepancies identify root causes perform recounts when needed and help implement corrective actions.
Monitor team performance and maintain high standards for productivity accuracy and quality.
Inspect inventory for proper storage and physical condition reporting any issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Maintain accurate cycle count records complete required documentation and follow all warehouse safety policies and standard operating procedures.
Support operational needs through special projects additional warehouse duties as assigned and overtime when required.
For This Role You Will Need:
High School Diploma or equivalent
3 years of cycle counting and/or warehouse experience
ERP system experience
Forklift license and/or experience
Ability to use Microsoft Office tools and Outlook
Basic Excel skills (Bonus for VLOOKUP and Pivot Table experience)
Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 35 lbs. regularly
Work from floor level to 15 ft.
Work in a seated or standing position for long periods of time
