Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join our team at Coloma Elementary School as a full-time 2nd Grade Teacher. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in elementary education a passion for teaching young children and a desire to contribute to the success of our school.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of all students
- Create a positive and safe classroom environment that fosters learning and growth
- Assess and evaluate student progress on a regular basis using a variety of methods
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement school-wide events and initiatives
- Attend and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and behavior
- Perform other duties as assigned by the administration

Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Education from an accredited college or university
- Applicant must be Highly Qualified and Endorsed for this position with a Valid Michigan
Teaching Certificate (K-5 all subjects (ZC ZG or ZO))
- Prior experience teaching 1st grade or elementary education preferred
- Strong knowledge of elementary education curriculum and instructional strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues parents and students
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to maintain a positive and safe classroom environment for all students.
