THE ROLE

Were hiring Electricians at our Forks Facility in Easton Pennsylvania. Youll perform a wide range of production/electrical and facility support duties as part of our Foundry/Manufacturing team.

WHAT YOULL DO

• To aid in the manufacture and shipment of quality iron castings by means of the installation service repair operation and inspection of all production and maintenance equipment buildings plant vehicles services and utilities for Victaulic Company. Know emergency procedures covering power failure iron spillage water failures etc.
• To know and follow proper safety procedures including proper operation of equipment working with primary high voltage and secondary distribution voltages proper grounding of equipment compliance with practices as specified in the National Electric Code of superseding regulations and working from ladders scaffolds overhead structures and perform any related duties as determined by Supervision.
• To know and follow all reliability procedures process control requirements testing procedures and job description cards as they relate to work being performed.
• To know and follow at all times proper safety procedures and to wear the prescribed safety equipment as they relate to the work being performed.
• To report neatly and accurately work performed findings or results of inspections and time and materials used in completion of assigned work.
• To maintain work area in neat and clean condition and assure that materials and tools are returned to proper storage and all waste and debris is removed upon completion of assigned work.
• To report immediately to his Foreman or Supervisor any injury unsafe act or condition or any failure or impending failure of plant equipment.
• To perform duties in such a manner as to assure the uninterrupted operation of the Facility and the continuation of Victaulic Company as a clean safe place of employment.
• Actively participate in SRP VPDS and any other Company initiative designed to improve workplace efficiency eliminate waste and improve quality.

WHAT TO EXPECT

• The noise level is such that earplugs must be worn at all times. Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times (ex. hard hat safety glasses ear plugs and steel toe shoes). Safety equipment is provided by the Company with exception of steel toe shoes which must be provided by employee upon the first day of employment.

2ndShift 2:00 pm 10:25 pm

3rdShift 10:00 pm - 6:20 am

* Shift times are subject to change. Employees must be willing to work in excess of 8 hours in one shift. Sometimes it is not possible to give employees involved much notice. Refusal to work as needed is considered a voluntary quit.

• Overtime: Employees must be willing and available to work weekends on an on-going basis if needed. It is mandatory for junior employees (if senior employees refuse) to work overtime. Refusal to work mandatory overtime is considered a voluntary quit. Overtime will paid for all hours worked in excess of forty hours in any one week.
