Job Summary
Durango School District is accepting applications for Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at Miller Middle coaching position involves instructing middle school students (grades 7 and 8) in the fundamental skills strategies and physical training of basketball. Season runs October 2026 - December 2026. The position begins September 01 2026.
Preferred Qualifications
- Plan and organize practices
- Instruct players on techniques to develop fundamental skills
- Provide feedback to help players improve
- Encourage and support good teamwork and sportsmanship
- Assist head coach in other duties
- Communicate with players coaches parents AD and admin
- Possess fundamental knowledge of basketball
- Experience coaching school-aged athletes
- CPR/AED certified or ability to get certified
