Department Summary

As a global leader in healthcare Roche Diagnostics offers a broad portfolio of tools that helps healthcare providers in the prevention diagnosis and management of diseases like HPV HIV hepatitis cancer and diabetes and other medical conditions such as fertility and blood coagulation. These products and services are used by researchers physicians patients hospitals and laboratories worldwide to help improve peoples lives.

Roche Diagnostics Global Quality Regulatory and External Affairs is a global team engaged across the diagnostics value chain ensuring our right to operate shaping the global regulatory environment and accelerating access to our diagnostic solutions for customers and patients.

This internship position is on-site. Selected interns will be placed in one of the following company sites:

Indianapolis IN

Branchburg NJ

Santa Clara CA

Pleasanton CA

Carlsbad CA

Tucson AZ

The Opportunity

Launch your career with the Roche Global Quality Regulatory and External Affairs (QR&E) Internshipa dynamic two-summer rotational program designed to build your expertise across our organization.

  • Rotational Experience: Over two consecutive summers you will gain invaluable hands-on experience by tackling high-impact projects and rotating to a new functional area each year. Placements are available in critical departments such as Quality Regulatory and External Affairs offering a comprehensive view of the diagnostic landscape.

  • High Visibility & Business Impact: Throughout the program you will contribute directly to business-critical initiatives. Past interns have made significant contributions to regulatory submissions for global health agencies and driven key process improvements within our Global Quality Management Systems.

  • Leadership & Career Exploration: Work alongside top industry talent interact with leadership and explore various exciting career pathways across the biotechnology sector.

Program Highlights

  • Intensive 12-weeks full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

  • Program start dates are in May/June 2027 (Summer).

  • Ownership of challenging high-visibility and impactful business-critical projects.

  • Work and collaborate with some of the most talented professionals in the biotechnology industry.

Who You Are (Required)

Required Education:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate university program with two years of education remaining. (Example -Current sophomores (rising junior) pursuing a Bachelors Degree program)

Required Majors & GPA: Majoring in a STEM-related degree with a GPA of 3.0.

Availability: Minimum commitment and availability of 12 weeks.

Preferred Knowledge Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent communication collaboration and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated interest in Quality Regulatory and the broader biotechnology industry.

  • Participation in student organizations or other leadership activities.

  • Self-motivated and proactive learner with a demonstration of an agile mindset.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indianapolis is $25.00-$29.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience qualifications geographic location and other job-related factors permitted by law. This position also qualifies for paid holiday time off benefits.
