About This Role
A Day in the Life of a Mechanical Engineer I:
- Providing creative solutions to mechanical engineering design challenges
- Working in an interdisciplinary role collaborating with peer engineers of varying disciplines.
- Solid modeling via NX and Solidworks.
- Design capture and configuration management via PLM systems.
- Learning how to create professional engineering drawings for manufacturing per industry ASME standards.
- Producing designs that leverage common fabrication and assembly processes while working with internal machine shops to manufacture parts on site.
- Creating structural designs by leveraging theory and analysis tools.
- Analysis and design of tracked vehicle of varying weight classes.
- Engine and generator integration into hybrid electric platforms.
- Operation of measurement tools strain gages and data acquisition systems
- Documenting and presenting derived requirements designs analysis results etc.
Qualifications
What Youll Need:
- Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelors or masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Technical internship experience preferred
- Ability to work a 9/80 schedule (with every other Friday off!)
