Catalents Madison Wisconsin site is a stateoftheart biologics development and manufacturing facility supporting customers from research through early and midstage clinical production. Located at 726 Heartland Trail in Madison the approximately 102700squarefoot GMP facility specializes in mammalian cell line engineering drug substance biomanufacturing and biopharmaceutical development utilizing flexible singleuse systems to enable rapid scaleup and customization. The site is home to Catalents proprietary GPEx and GPEx Lightning technologies which are used to generate highyielding mammalian cell lines for biologic therapies and supports production scales ranging from 50 to 4000 liters for clinical manufacturing. Following a $45 million expansion announced in 2025 the Madison site has significantly increased capacity added new equipment and created approximately 200 highly skilled biohealth jobs further strengthening its role within Catalents global biologics network and Wisconsins growing life sciences ecosystem.


We have an opportunity for a 2027 Intern - Human Resources to join our team and support a variety of HR projects and initiatives. This role will contribute to employee engagement talent development workforce planning and organizational effectiveness. The intern will assist with data collection reporting and analysis to support HR metrics and decision-making. This position offers hands-on experience in HR systems onboarding training and employee development activities while collaborating with HR professionals and cross-functional teams.
The Role

  • Support HR initiatives across employee engagement talent development workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.
  • Collect analyze and report HR data and metrics to support business decisions.
  • Maintain employee records HR systems documentation and confidential information in compliance with company policies.
  • Assist with onboarding training employee development programs and engagement activities.
  • Create employee communications presentations and educational materials for leaders and staff.
  • Partner with HR and cross-functional teams on process improvements continuous improvement initiatives and administrative efficiencies.
  • Complete assigned projects present recommendations and results to stakeholders and contribute ideas during team meetings.

The Candidate

Minimum Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
  • Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Human Resources Business Administration Organizational Leadership Psychology Communications or a related field.
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for a 12-week period during the summer.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
