Job Description

TheFleetEngineerrotationprogramis a3-yearprogram. The first year will be spent in training focused on a broad exposure to Solars products and the Customer the 14 months of training the candidate must commit to spending2additional years at 1 of our U.S. district offices as aFleetEngineer. At this time the selected candidate will be given a company vehicle to provided will be a combination of classroom and online training significant hands-on training structured on the job training in the field and mentored controls system training at various Solar locations including:

San Diego CA

  • Administrative modules

  • Safety Training

  • Gas Turbine Package Familiarization training

  • Control Systems training

  • Customer Services Experience

Mabank TX

  • Principles & Applications of Control Systems

  • Borescope of Turbine Engines

  • Power Generation and Gas Compression

  • Rigging &liftingof large components

  • Alignment

  • Routine Maintenance and Troubleshooting

While in San Diego and Texas (the first 8 months of training) the successful candidate willreceive:

  • On-line web-based training and classroomtraining.

  • Commissioning and maintenance field assignments at customer sites.

  • Controls engineeringassignment.

  • Exposure to the Customer Service Response Center and QHSE training.

  • Time in engine teardown build and test and field assignments at customer sites.

During the following6months:

  • Candidate will be trained on all aspects ofMachinery.

  • Management Services and support a SolarFleetManager in a U.S. District Office.

  • Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.

This is a hands-on positionwhich requires heavy travel and overtime relocation heavy customer-interfaceand possible offshore assignments. This position is responsible for providing technical and administrative support toFleetManagers in maintaining and managingmachinerymanagement Agreements between Solar and Engineerfacilitates equipment failure investigations and root cause determination with appropriate groups; compiles and submits engineering reports and analysis tofleetmanagers for review;supportsfleetmanagerwith alert management preventative action reports value tracking and compilation of monthly reports and submission to customers.

He/She/They will participate in and support onsite condition will also supportfleetmanagerwithservicebulletin compliance and implementation of corrective actions as well as follow up on pending issues defined within issue be well versed in both Solar and customerHealth Safety Security and Environmentmanagement systems. Ensure compliance to the Health Safety Security and Environmentrequirements best practices and provide overviews to Field Service Representatives and other personnel who will be visiting customer site.

Minimum Qualifications:

MinimumGPA of2.8on a 4.0 scale

Minimum ofbachelorsdegree in engineering

Must be able and willing to travel relocate and work overtime.

High integrity and a high level of self-confidence.

Ability to handle stress and communicate in a professional manner.

0-2 years related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PreviousInternshipor related work experience with customer facing activities strongly preferred.

Summary Pay Range:

$72360.00 - $108540.00
