Job Summary: Elementary Special Education Teacher (Cedar Hill TX 2026-27 School Year)
- Provide special education students with engaging learning activities and experiences to foster intellectual emotional physical and social growth.
- Develop adapt and implement curricula lessons and instructional materials tailored to individual student ability levels.
- Collaborate regularly with faculty members and students parents/guardians to ensure effective educational outcomes.
- Attend meetings consistently and submit reports in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills both written and verbal.
- Maintain knowledge of the special needs of assigned students and adapt instruction accordingly.
- Understand and participate in the Admission Review and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Hold a Bachelors degree from an accredited university and a valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements.
- Possess relevant experience through student teaching internships or related positions.
