Job Summary
Duties And Responsibilities
Set up and assisting NUTR 232 and NUTR 524 food labs Cleaning up food labs at the end of each lab period Purchasing groceries each week for food labs Develop lab lectures and quizzes in coordination with lab instructor Grading lab reports and quizzes Grade quizzes and assignments from NUTR 221 and NUTR 231 Pick up supplies and materials across campus Calculating and determining needed ingredients and equipment for all labs Assist with data calculation and entry as directed by faculty Conducting literature searches and surveys as directed by faculty Assisting with campus wellness activities as directed by faculty Assisting with internship orientation week seminar days and interview day as directed by the DI Director Each semester work with NUTR 221 instructors to provide body composition analysis to students Work with the department to provide body comp analysis/bone density for employees in the Fall Develop a cleaning schedule for lab students for end of semester (stove eyes wiping down refrigerators etc.) Clean ovens as needed at the end of each semester Check for expired foods in refrigerators at the end of each semester Keep storage room tidy spices organized and carts clean Keep all surfaces in both sides of lab clutter-and dust-free. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Graduate student - Enrolled in minimum of 9 credit hours each semester of employment - Must be in good academic standing - Must have taken NUTR 231 and 232 (or equivalent courses)
