Job Summary
Frontier Schools is seeking an Elementary Science Teacher (K-1st grade students) for the 202627 school year. The starting salary for the current school year is $63000 and is expected to increase for the 202627 school year commensurate with experience and education.
Qualification
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Missouri teacher certificate for the appropriate level is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs interests and abilities of the students.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students.
- Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor.
- Utilize various instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with the physical limitations of the location provided and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved.
- Assess the students progress regularly and provide progress reports as required.
- Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect the students equipment materials and facilities.
- Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law district policy and administrative regulations.
- Comply with all district policies rules and regulations.
- Develop classroom rules and maintain order in a fair and just manner.
- Be available to the students and parents for education-related purposes.
- Plan and supervise purposeful assignments for teacher aide(s) and volunteer(s) and cooperatively with department heads.
- Participate in district and campus staff development.
- Attend staff meetings and serve on staff committees.
- Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues.
- Prepare and submit lesson prep in a timely manner on the platform the school utilizes.
- Maintain a minimum number of grades in the grade book promptly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral forms.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to organize special programs for assigned campus.
- Ability to use computer including software database used by the district spreadsheet and word
processing software calculator copy machine and telephone. - Ability to analyze data.
- Ability to use effective public speaking skills and problem-solving skills.
