Job Summary
Summary:
Coordinates and directs activities of workers engaged in molding or assembly of parts or assemblies into units by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following:
- Coordinates directs evaluates and provides training and leadership to twenty or more hourly employees for the assembly and/or molding operations.
- Develops daily schedules ensures that quality and production goals are met and troubleshoots problems as required.
- Provides technical leadership for department including recommending and implementing equipment process and material enhancements.
- Analyzes and plans workforce utilization space requirements and workflow including design layouts for equipment and workspace.
- Ensures all ISO procedures are followed integrity of product to standard process improvement recommendations: SPC and other quality systems developed and maintained.
- Ensures employees complete safety training establishes safe work environment and leads department safety team.
- Maintains constructive working relationship with business units customers and internal departments including effective communication coordination of WIP and process improvement.
- Researches and makes recommendations on production and auxiliary equipment procurement and identifies new technologies and expansion plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
High School diploma plus one to two years related manufacturing experience and/or training. Associates degree (A. A.) from an accredited college or university is preferred.
