PRODUCTION LABORER

Hours: 7a-3:30p

Pay: $21-$23 per hour

JOB SUMMARY

The Production Laborer supports manufacturing operations by performing a variety of production activities in the Deburr Laser and Plate Plasma areas. This position assists with processing handling inspecting and preparing metal components while following established safety quality and production requirements.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain clean and organized work areas by removing debris and scrap material and placing waste in the appropriate receptacles.
• Perform general production labor duties including:
• Grinding and deburring metal parts.
• Punching cut parts from sheet metal.
• Placing and organizing punched parts onto pallets.
• Moving materials to designated work areas using a pallet jack and/or forklift.
• Operating the PEM inserter machine.
• Follow established production procedures and work instructions.
• Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy throughout the production process.
• Follow all environmental health and safety policies and regulations.
• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work effectively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic ability to identify part numbers measurements and production requirements.
• Willingness and ability to learn various manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled hours.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a quality-focused approach to work.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend stoop reach push pull and lift.
• Ability to safely lift and move materials and components as required.
• Ability to work around noise metal dust sparks heat and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to wear required PPE for the duration of the work shift.
• Ability to safely perform repetitive production tasks.
• Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

SAFETY & QUALITY EXPECTATIONS

The Production Laborer is expected to consistently prioritize employee safety product quality productivity and proper material handling. All work must be performed in accordance with company policies established manufacturing procedures and applicable environmental and safety regulations.
