About the Role

Hello RNs! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Private Duty School Nurse (PDN) to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing support to a student with medical needs in Aurora this role youll provide individualized medical care throughout the school day helping a student safely access their education while supporting their health safety and overall well-being.

This is an excellent fit for nurses interested in pediatrics school-based care or building meaningful relationships through consistent student-centered support. Youll work closely with school teams families and medical providers to ensure student success.

What Youll Do

• Provide 1:1 nursing support for a student with medical needs throughout the school day
• Monitor and manage chronic medical conditions and student health needs
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and care plans
• Respond to health concerns and emergencies while following school safety protocols
• Maintain accurate health documentation and ensure compliance with medical plans
• Collaborate closely with families school staff related service providers and medical teams
• Support student participation safety and access within the educational environment
• Participate in IEP and 504 meetings as appropriate

What Were Looking For

• Active Colorado State RN license
• School Nursing CDE endorsement (or willingness to obtain) preferred
• Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check
• Experience in pediatrics school nursing medically fragile populations or public health preferred
• Strong clinical judgment communication organization and compassion
