To support this mission Syngentas Global Shared Services Finance team is seeking a Treasury Operations Manager Americas based in Montevideo Uruguay. This role leads the Americas Treasury Operations team and ensures the reliable compliant and timely execution of cash liquidity FX funding banking treasury accounting and control activities. It translates Business and Group Treasury strategies into disciplined operational delivery while continuously improving processes systems and stakeholder service across the region.
Accountabilities
- Lead day-to-day delivery of Front Office Middle Office and Back Office activities setting priorities managing performance and developing a team of approximately 12 people.
- Execute cash liquidity funding and risk-management operations within corporate policies and delegated authorities; ensure no critical funding issues and timely cash centralisation.
- Own the identification validation and hedging of committed FX exposure across the Americas ensuring timely execution and that residual exposure is managed within approved limits.
- Lead month-end Treasury reporting and controlling of cash FX exposure and Net Financial Expense (NFE) metrics including strengthened analytics and follow-through on open items.
- Own Treasury internal-control testing support audits and financial-statement preparation; escalate all material issues within agreed SLAs.
- Coordinate the Americas banking setup account governance signatory management bank fees service quality and operational resilience and lead regional corporate card programmes.
- Drive transformation initiatives including the SAP Treasury LATAM implementation and lead digital evolution through dashboards automation and AI-enabled tools.

Required
Required Technical Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant Treasury experience including cash/liquidity management FX risk funding and treasury operations.
- Proven experience leading a Treasury Operations or equivalent team with evidence of people development and delivery through others.
- Strong knowledge of financial markets FX and derivative instruments liquidity and cash management and their accounting/risk implications.
- Working knowledge of Treasury information systems and SAP; strong technology affinity and willingness to adopt automation and AI tools.
