The Role

As Tendering & Proposals Engineer you will be responsible for managing enquiries from initial receipt through to tender submission and order handover. Working closely with customers suppliers and internal departments youll ensure proposals are technically accurate commercially competitive and delivered on time.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the full tendering process for spare parts service agreements and project opportunities.
• Reviewing customer requirements and developing compliant technical and commercial proposals.
• Liaising with internal engineering commercial and operational teams to gather information and ensure timely submissions.
• Communicating with suppliers and customers to obtain technical and commercial information.
• Reviewing technical records and specifications to ensure accurate product and service selection.
• Coordinating post-tender clarifications and customer correspondence.
• Reviewing purchase orders against tender submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Managing live orders through ERP systems and supporting delivery requirements.
• Maintaining accurate records within CRM and business systems.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across tendering and commercial processes.

About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

• A qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Previous experience within a tendering proposals estimating contracts or technical sales environment.
• Strong technical understanding of engineering products and services.
• Experience within rotating equipment industrial services manufacturing energy or related sectors would be advantageous.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with customers suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Good commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems such as ERP or CRM platforms.
