Position 1 Part Time
12 hours per week

Days: 8:00am 8:00pm
Nights: 8:00pm 8:00am
Position 2 Waking Nights
36 hours per week
Waking night shifts only
Shift pattern:
Nights: 8:00pm 8:00am
Make a Positive Impact in Someones Daily Life We are looking for a compassionate proactive and engaging Waking Night Support Worker to join a dedicated team supporting a young person with complex care and behavioural needs in Barnsley. This role would suit someone who is naturally warm interactive and happy to get involved. If you enjoy board games electronic games storytelling and building genuine connections this could be a brilliant match.

About the Role
Providing 2:1 support with daily routines and activities
Personal care and medication support
Encouraging engagement in interests and hobbies
Providing attentive support
Supporting with medication and clinical needs
Supporting with personal care
Offering reassurance companionship and meaningful engagement
Monitoring safety and wellbeing
About You
Full clean UK driving licence (21 required for insurance purposes)
Eligibility to Work in the UK: You must be eligible to work in the UK.Home Care Direct does not offer sponsorship or work visas
Friendly patient and well organised
Experienced with Epilepsy and Challenging Behaviour
Clear and confident in spoken English with the ability to communicate effectively with the person being supported and the wider team
Care experience preferred
Committed to providing safe respectful and consistent support
