Your role and responsibilities

As a SQL/Power BI Developer youll design and deliver a high-quality Power BI reporting suite that that enables the Childrens Community Health Service to understand demand capacity and outcomes. This comprehensive reporting will support decisionmaking at both strategic and operational levels.

  • Develop and maintain SQL queries views and tables to support reporting and analytics.
  • Build intuitive high-performing Power BI dashboards for a wide range of users.
  • Work closely with service leads to translate business needs into clear reporting solutions.
  • Validate and quality-check data identifying issues and driving improvements.
  • Support both routine and ad-hoc data requests across the service.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and data governance standards.
  • Document data models definitions and processes to ensure sustainability.
  • Collaborate with partners across health and care to support joined-up reporting.

You will need

Were looking for a skilled and motivated BI professional who is passionate about using data to make a real difference in childrens health:

  • strong experience working in a BI/data/analytical role using SQL and Power BI
  • experience building dashboards data models and writing efficient SQL queries
  • the ability to work with large complex datasets and translate data into clear insight
  • excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • strong stakeholder engagement and requirements-gathering skills
  • knowledge of data governance GDPR and handling sensitive information.

Experience within the public sector or working with SystmOne and/or childrens health data would be beneficial.
