Southwark Cleaning Operative

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Southwark to assist with the appointment of a Southwark Cleaning Operative on a 1.5-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 15.38 - 20.10 per hour

Summary:

The Southwark Cleaning Operative role involves carrying out a wide range of cleaning duties across communal and external areas maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies and supporting the councils commitment to high environmental and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out cleaning duties across council estates highways and communal areas.
• Clean corridors utility rooms balconies entrances lobbies refuse stores lifts stairwells landings store rooms and external areas.
• Sweep damp mop and wet mop hard floors and walkways.
• Sweep and clean external areas including pavements pathways channels and courtyards.
• Scrub internal and external hard surfaces as directed.
• Undertake wall washing and high-level cleaning of walls fixtures fittings and internal windows.

Essentials:

• Ability to undertake cleaning duties across internal and external communal areas.
• Knowledge of safe working practices and Health & Safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable punctual and flexible approach to work.
• Good communication skills.

• You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
• You should have right to work in U.K
