The Opportunity:

Youll join our established Casualty team in Leeds working on a broad and challenging caseload of defendant Employers Liability and Public Liability claims. Supported by experienced Partners and Senior Associates youll have real autonomy high-quality work and clear progression.

This role is ideal for a solicitor with 2 years PQE who enjoys technical work values collaboration and wants exposure to insurer-facing advisory work while continuing to strengthen their litigation expertise.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Managing your own caseload of fast intermediate and multi-track EL/PL defendant claims

• Advising insurers with clear commercial and pragmatic legal advice

• Setting strategy reserves and next steps in collaboration with senior colleagues

• Supporting the development of junior team members and paralegals

• Working closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver excellent outcomes

• Developing broader expertise across casualty-related claims and insurance-led work

• Playing an active role in the continued growth and success of the Leeds team

What Were Looking For:

• Qualified solicitor with defendant PI experience (EL/PL essential)

• Confident running your own caseload under appropriate supervision

• Strong grasp of Civil Procedure Rules

• Commercial organised and solutions-focused approach

• Excellent client communication and stakeholder skills

• A collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in developing others
