Senior Physiotherapist (Band 7 Equivalent)Location: Hitchin Salary: 49387 - 56515 per annum FTE Hours: This post is 30 hours taken over 4 days between Monday to exciting opening has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated specialist physiotherapist with neurological experience to join our team at Stagenhoe in Hitchin. We treat people with a range of brain injuries sustained through trauma illness substance abuse and more to recover and meet their personal employees are incredibly passionate about the jobs they do you will find a strong team spirit across our services and amazing colleagues who always pull together and look out for each us:Stagenhoe is a Brainkind specialist neurological care centre based in Hertfordshire caring for people aged 18 and over a range of neurological conditions The clinical team consists of Nurses Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy who are supported by Health care assistants and Therapy assistants The ideal candidate must be a HCPC registered physiotherapist and have neurological respiratory and management experience at a Senior (Band 7 equivalent) level. MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of staff within the service and provide support to staff as requiredTo provide on-site leadership for the team and take an active role in service developments through the use of service user participation strategies peer review audit and evaluation of outcome measuresResponsible for overseeing service delivery from referral to discharge to ensure treatment programmes are planned and delivered effectivelyTo maintain an awareness of the caseloads of the team to ensure the most effective and efficient service is be responsible for leading clinical governance activity within the team with regard to clinical risk management and for implementing clinical governance policies standards and for ensuring a high standard of service delivered within local and national guidelines and within the resources available. To ensure documentation produced by other members of the team is in line with professional and Brainkind standardsTo be responsible to chair interdisciplinary team meetings and review meetings as appropriateTo work with other professionals in managing operational issues of services which cross organisational boundariesTo hold responsibility for managing own caseload within an agreed defined clinical areaTo assess plan implement and evaluate therapy intervention to meet the assessed needs of service usersTo monitor attendance of mandatory and other required training for members of teamTo improve own and others research and development skills through participation in audit projectsFacilitating the safe and smooth running of the Service the post holder is expected to maintain a safe working environment maintain service user confidentiality and occasionally taking on reasonable additional tasksAbout you:Suitable applicants will have a degree/diploma within physiotherapy and be HCPC post-registration training and experience and relevant leadership experience and training in a health/social care settingEvidence of Continued Professional DevelopmentProven experience of working in an appropriate service across healthcare settingsExperience of working with clients with moderate to advanced neurological disease and disabilityDemonstrable experience of evidence-based practice research audit and outcome measuresHighly specialist knowledge and application of neurological therapy assessments and interventions using complex level clinical reasoning.
