Waldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch is seeking aPurchasing Managerto join the pre-opening team for this highly anticipated new luxury hotel opening later this year.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced luxury hospitality leader to join the founding team and help shape the guest experience at this landmark hotel.
Located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17500 sqft of private residences. The hotel will open with two signature restaurants - Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud - bringing together two of the worlds most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs. Guests will also enjoy a world-class spa state-of-the-art fitness facilities and a collection of grand event spaces including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

What will I be doing
As Purchasing Manager you will safeguard the integrity quality and value of all hotel procurement activities working collaboratively with trusted suppliers to negotiate contracts source premium goods and maintain meticulous records of transactions trends and supplier performance.
In this role you will be accountable for executing the following responsibilities to the highest standards of operational excellence:
Secure competitive quotations for all hotel requirements ensuring bestinclass quality value and compliance with Groupnominated supplier agreements
Maintain accurate and uptodate records of all locally nominated suppliers
Oversee and manage the database of active local supplier contracts
Ensure the Purchasing Manual remains current compliant and reflective of best practice
Enforce purchasing policies quality procedures and brand standards to ensure full alignment with all Hilton requirements
Partner with the Finance Manager / Director to develop and support the annual budgeting process
Maintain detailed records of budget commitments and proactively communicate updates to senior leadership
Implement robust systems for the allocation tracking and reconciliation of purchase orders
Cultivate strong professional relationships with suppliers and formally evaluate and report on their performance
Lead and support the purchasing team including recruitment performance management and adherence to established appraisal processes
Supervise stores operations ensuring strict compliance with health and safety quality assurance and stock control procedures while continuously improving inventory oversight
Oversee all purchasing activity including contracts leases and supplier nominations
Prepare accurate and timely monthend purchasing and accounts reports
Execute adhoc tasks and strategic requests as directed by Hotel Management
What are we looking for
A Purchasing Manager within Hilton brands operates with integrity precision and a strong sense of accountability always in the interest of both the guest experience and operational sustainability. To succeed in this role you will demonstrate the following qualities:
Proven experience in purchasing or procurement functions
Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage and interpret budgets effectively
Advanced computer skills including confident use of Microsoft Excel
Excellent organisational and timemanagement capabilities
A high level of accountability resilience and attention to detail
Ability to perform competently under pressure in a fastpaced environment
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
Previous experience within the hotel or leisure sector
Experience in a similar purchasing or procurement leadership role
Relevant academic qualification in Finance Accounting or a related business discipline
