A major UK infrastructure project is looking to appoint a Health & Safety & Environment Advisor to support one of the countrys most high profile transport programmes.
This is a site based role working five days per week on a large scale construction environment in West London. Due to the nature of the role candidates will need to be based locally and comfortable operating in a fast paced live project setting.
Youll join an established HSEQ function supporting construction teams and supply chain partners across complex civils demolition and ground engineering activities. The role offers the opportunity to be part of a landmark programme where safety collaboration and delivery excellence sit at the heart of the project.
The Role
You will provide practical Health & Safety support across site operations helping to drive compliance continuous improvement and a strong behavioural safety culture across the programme.
Key Responsibilities
Promote a positive Health Safety & Wellbeing culture across site operations
Support operational teams and subcontractors with best practice guidance and compliance standards
Conduct site inspections audits and formal reporting activities
Assist with delivery of project and business HSE objectives and KPIs
Support risk management processes and identify areas for improvement
Participate in investigations relating to incidents near misses and unsafe acts
Build strong working relationships with project stakeholders suppliers and operational teams
Support continuous improvement initiatives across health safety and wellbeing performance
About You
Minimum 3 years experience within construction infrastructure or major project environments
NEBOSH Certificate NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Health & Safety qualification
TechIOSH GradIOSH or actively working towards membership
Experience within civil engineering demolition rail or heavy infrastructure environments
Confident carrying out inspections audits and incident investigations
Strong understanding of Root Cause Analysis methodologies
Comfortable using digital reporting systems and Microsoft Office 365
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence teams and build credibility on site
