The Role:
As a Metocean Engineer youll play a key role in the successful delivery of our metocean campaigns - from planning and mobilisation through to deployment servicing and reporting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and testing oceanographic and metocean equipment.
- Supporting offshore mobilisation and vessel operations.
- Deploying and servicing equipment such as wave buoys floating LiDAR systems Seabed instrumentation tide gauges wave radar systems.
- Assisting with mooring assembly and maintenance.
- Working in line with ISOaccredited management systems and QHSE procedures.
- Working with telemetry environmental sensors and real-time monitoring systems.
- Processing and reviewing environmental and survey data.
- Producing technical reports and project documentation that meets legislative regulatory client and internal quality standards.
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure safe efficient and highquality offshore operations and fieldwork planning.

About You:
Were looking for a practical motivated metocean engineer/oceanographer who enjoys working with specialist equipment and thrives in a dynamic projectdriven marine environment.
We are looking for someone with:
- Level 3 qualification or above in science engineering electrical or mechanical disciplines or a degree in an oceanographic-related subject or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience
- Two years plus industry experience in a relevant technical or engineering role (preferred).
- Handson experience delivering technical projects including deployment of metocean instrumentation in coastal and offshore environments.
- Practical workboat experience.
- Fieldwork or marine survey experience.
- A systematic methodical approach with strong attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office data loggers and instrument interfaces with satellite/GSM telemetry systems.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience preparing risk assessments and method statements.
- Full manual UK driving licence (ability to travel to offshore mobilisation sites as required).
Youll also need to be:
- Comfortable working to deadlines in a fastpaced environment
- Willing to travel (primarily within the UK and Europe with occasional further travel)
- Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules driven by vessel availability and weather conditions.
- Positive proactive and eager to learn.
