Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MEICA Project Manager to manage and deliver mechanical and electrical projects across the water and wastewater industry. The role focuses on ensuring projects are completed safely on time within budget and to the required quality standards.

From contract award through to completion and handover you will lead the delivery of water industry projects developing and managing programmes budgets and resource plans. A strong focus on health safety environmental compliance and quality will be central to your approach.

This is an office-based role with regular site visits so flexibility to travel and a UK driving licence is required.

What Were Looking For

Experience and Knowledge

  • Proven project management experience within the water industry utilities or a heavy engineering environment
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems including pumps MCCs pipework and instrumentation
  • Familiarity with WIMES specifications BS 7671 and water industry client standards

Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent leadership communication and client-facing skills
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience in cost control contracts and financial management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Proactive professional and solution-focused with a strong commitment to safety and quality

Qualifications

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
  • Desirable: Project management qualification (APM PRINCE2 or similar) SMSTS EUSR Water Hygiene confined space training and experience with project planning software
