Waldorf Astoria London - Admiralty Arch is seeking aMaintenance Managerto join the pre-opening team for this highly anticipated new luxury hotel opening later this year.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced luxury hospitality leader to join the founding team and help shape the guest experience at this landmark hotel.

Located at the end of The Mall opposite Buckingham Palace Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch will feature 100 elegant rooms and suites and 17500 sqft of private residences. The hotel will open with two signature restaurants - Coreus by Clare Smyth and Café Boulud by Daniel Boulud - bringing together two of the worlds most celebrated Michelin-starred chefs. Guests will also enjoy a world-class spa state-of-the-art fitness facilities and a collection of grand event spaces including a ballroom for up to 320 guests.

What will I be doing

AsaMaintenance Manager you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the hotels physical infrastructure ensuring all engineering maintenance and safety functions operate seamlessly in support of an exceptional Guest and Member experience.

In this leadership role you will oversee daytoday engineering operations preventative maintenance emergency preparedness and capital projects while upholding the highest standards of safety efficiency and discretion. Your responsibilities will include performing the following to the highest professional standards:

Assume overall responsibility for maintenance and engineering operations throughout the hotel

Conduct comprehensive daily inspections to ensure the integrity safety and presentation of all facilities

Perform lift emergency release procedures and respond swiftly to technical incidents as required

Diagnose maintain and repair mechanical electrical and building systems to ensure uninterrupted hotel operations

Build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external contractors

Ensure all fixtures fittings and plant equipment are maintained in safe working condition taking immediate corrective action when risks are identified

Develop implement and lead comprehensive emergency preparedness and response programmes

Design and manage energyefficiency and conservation initiatives to optimise sustainability and control operational costs

Coordinate renovation and capital projects including tendering defining scope and costs and overseeing contractors to ensure quality timely and costeffective delivery

Execute special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management

Act as a guardian of hotel health and safety standards ensuring full legislative and brand compliance

Ensure monthly safety inspections are conducted and that team members receive appropriate training

Advanced knowledge of building engineering systems and facilities management

Flexibility to adapt to evolving operational demands and emergency situations

Ability to perform effectively under pressure

Confidence working independently while exercising sound judgement

Previous experience in a supervisory or management engineering role

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

First Aid certification

Vocational qualification or formal training in Engineering Facilities Management or a related discipline
