Job Description

About the role

Were looking for an experiencedFLT Driver / General Operativeto join CHEP the global leader in pallet crate and container pooling. Youll be operating forklifts safely to support production operations and service hauliers includingvacuum lift operationto sort CHEP pallets to specific standards.

What youll do

• Safely operate FLT trucks to support production & haulier operations
• Direct visiting vehicles during loading & unloading
• Maintain smooth flow on production lines within agreed SLAs
• Sort stocks to correct standards following specific guidelines
• Ensure trucks and equipment are well maintained; report operational problems including damage to truck or property
• Carefully handle and store company hire stock while following required stock rotations

What we need from you

• Experience working in a fast-paced warehouse yard (or similar) environment
• Strong communication skills with hauliers
• Minimum 2 years counterbalance forklift operation experience
• External FLT licence (RTITB or ITSSAR) up to 5 tons (B1) or equivalent
• Reach Forklift Qualification (desirable)
• RTITB trained (desirable)
• Safety-conscious reliable and able to work to quality standards
