Fire & Aviation Recruitment & Screening Support

A role to support the Securitas Fire and Aviation Team with all administrative tasks and general administration of recruitment systems.  

To uphold the professional integrity of Securitas Security Services (UK) Ltd and to lead the industry codes and ethics of good Security and employment practice through a professional screening process with particular focus on compliance of the screening process.  

To enhance our customer service by implementing the very best application of Security Screening and continuous improvement processes and ensure that all employees are screened for a complete 5-year career history. 

Responsibilities:

• Support the Fire & Aviation team with day-to-day recruitment and administration activities ensuring tasks are completed accurately and within required timescales.

• Act as the first point of contact for recruitment enquiries and candidate queries.

• Advertise vacancies across careers platforms social media and external job boards ensuring adverts remain up to date.

• Review applications and shortlist candidates using a fair and unbiased process.

• Arrange and conduct interviews via telephone or Microsoft Teams.

• Manage candidate progression throughout the recruitment and onboarding process including issuing offers and supporting pre-employment checks.

• Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System and internal recruitment trackers.

• Support the completion and monitoring of pre-employment screening and Right to Work checks in line with BS7858 standards and company requirements.

• Liaise with candidates managers and HR teams to ensure screening and onboarding documentation is completed efficiently and within required deadlines.

• Carry out social media and financial background checks where applicable.

• Support the processing of airside pass applications and maintain communication with candidates throughout the process.

• Coordinate recruitment activities for Contingency Crew including advertising interviewing onboarding and training administration.

• Coordinate Initial and CPD training courses including joining instructions training records expenses and database updates.

• Assist with reporting data gathering and general administrative support for the Fire Division.

• Maintain a professional and up-to-date understanding of relevant legislation company policies and recruitment best practice.

• Undertake any additional reasonable duties appropriate to the role.

Qualifications :

• Excellent communication skills 
• Excellent organisation and multi-tasking 
• Intermediate / Advance knowledge level in the use of MS Office specifically Excel 
• Strong prioritisation and organisation skills  
• Ability to deal with situations politely tactfully and with discretion
• Manages self & works under own initiative
• Good decision making
• Strong communication skills
• Strategic Thinking (planning and forecasting)
• Willingness to commit to working as part of a team
• Ability to retain and maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of aviation security systems and procedures 
• Able to evidence competent computer skills and possess the ability to self-teach and learn how to operate software tools and databases.
• Ability to be adaptable and responsive to sudden changes in priorities plans and schedules.
