The opportunity:

Based in our Chichester office you will need to be in the office for a minimum of 4 days a week during training.

Youll play a key role in analysing and underwriting new or renewal business interacting directly with our customers and contributing to a collaborative and fast-paced team environment. If delivering excellent customer service is something you take pride in this could be the ideal role for you.

What will you be doing

  • Building strong relationships with customers by listening understanding and meeting their needswhether youre helping to bring new customers on board or supporting our existing ones.
  • Demonstrating Zurichs trading and negotiation values in everything you do.
  • Developing your knowledge of risk and business awareness and learning about our organisations risk appetite.
  • Quoting and setting coverage negotiating terms and conditions for New Business Mid Term Adjustments and Renewals.
  • Handling inbound and outbound calls managing tasks and Live Chat with a focus on winning new business and retaining customers.
  • Resolving technical queries by referencing policies procedures and specifications including on short-term projects.
  • Administering and monitoring underwriting rules guidelines and insurance regulations.
  • Being an active member of our large multi-location Underwriting team.

What are we looking for

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of insurance or financial services is helpful but not essential.
  • A solutions-focused and service-driven mindset.
  • Strong team player.
  • Skills in relationship building active listening needs analysis and collaborative negotiation.
