Job Description:

Job Location: Polar Speed UPS Unit 8 DG Units Cofton Road Marsh Barton Exeter Devon EX2 8QW

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week

Salary: 33732 P/A based on 40 hours 16.22 per hour Monday to Friday optional overtime on weekends and bank holidays 24.33 per hour.

Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities:

* Managing the scanning of packages or pallets to your delivery vehicle

* Ensuring the safe and secure loading of all consignments to your vehicle using the appropriate equipment

* Assisting with the loading and unloading of deliveries

* Ensuring the vehicle is always kept at the correct temperature

* Conducting vehicle safety checks as outlined in the documentation provided including the refrigeration unit on the vehicle

* Maintaining the cleanliness of both the cab and chambers

* Reporting all defects as per the defect reporting process

*Adherence to all legislation governing HGV driving in the UK and IRL

* Ensuring the drivers card is downloaded upon completion of each shift

* Always demonstrating a professional and safe driving competency

* Always be smart and professional

* Excellent communication and customer service skills

* Delivering and collecting of pharmaceutical consignments to GP Surgeries Retail Pharmacies Hospitals and Wholesalers

* Communicating all operational delays or delivery failures immediately

* Correct completion of EPOD/APOD Driver Manifest collection refusals paperwork

Specialized Knowledge and Requirements:

* A minimum of 2 years driving experience including motorway experience

* Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualification and in date

* Must hold a Class 2 minimum drivers licence ideally no more than 3 points

* Previous relevant experience with temperature controlled delivery is advantageous

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritize

* Team mentality with ability to work on own initiative

* Appreciate the need for maintaining confidentiality

* Build effective working relationships with customers and clients and other departments across the network
