Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Chartered Architect to join a growing Expert & Advisory Services team working in a technical advisory and design-led capacity across complex construction and property matters. This role has a strong focus on live projects technical strategy and remedial design offering exposure to a diverse client base and multidisciplinary collaboration.

The Role

The successful candidate will provide high-level technical and strategic advice across residential commercial and mixed-use developments. The role will also contribute to the expansion of advisory services on live construction projects including acting as Principal Designer and Contract Administrator where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide architectural and technical advisory services to clients including developers housing associations insurers and asset owners
• Undertake detailed technical reviews of design information site conditions and construction methodologies
• Contribute to remedial and feasibility strategies including outline design specifications and drawings for costing purposes
• Support live projects in an advisory Principal Designer or Contract Administrator capacity
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including fire engineers façade consultants and cost consultants
• Advise on regulatory compliance including Building Regulations fire safety and CDM
• Support client engagement and ongoing service development within the advisory function

Requirements

• ARBregistered and RIBA Chartered Architect
• Minimum 10 years postqualification experience
• Strong technical knowledge of detailing construction processes and regulatory frameworks
• Experience across residential commercial and mixeduse sectors
• Confident communicator with the ability to explain complex technical matters clearly
• Good working knowledge of consultant appointments procurement routes and contracts
