Sales & Marketing Executive – Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Job Summary
Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute a structured sales plan to achieve monthly quarterly and annual revenue targets for PPE products.
Identify prospect and convert new clients in sectors such as manufacturing construction mining oil & gas agriculture and healthcare.
Manage and grow a pipeline of existing accounts ensuring customer retention repeat orders and upselling of new product lines.
Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations for procurement officers EHS managers and factory supervisors.
Prepare competitive quotations negotiate contracts and close sales deals while maintaining company profitability targets.
Product & Market Expertise
Maintain deep up-to-date knowledge of Our Clients full PPE product range including:
Factory Gloves (cut-resistant chemical-resistant heat-resistant general-purpose)
Safety Footwear (steel-toe boots anti-slip shoes chemical-resistant boots)
Head Protection (hard hats bump caps helmets with face shields)
Protective Clothing (coveralls high-visibility vests flame-retardant suits aprons)
Eye & Face Protection (goggles face shields safety spectacles)
Hearing Protection (earplugs earmuffs banded ear protectors)
Respiratory Protection & other PPE accessories
Advise clients on appropriate PPE selection in compliance with Ugandas Occupational Safety and Health Act and ISO/ANSI/EN standards.
Monitor market trends competitor products and pricing to keep Our Clients offering competitive.
Marketing & Brand Promotion
Plan and execute marketing campaigns trade show participation and product launches to increase brand visibility.
Create and distribute marketing collateral (brochures price lists digital content) in collaboration with the marketing team.
Leverage digital platforms LinkedIn and industry networks to generate leads and build brand awareness.
Coordinate customer training events and product awareness sessions at client sites.
Reporting & Administration
Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records of client interactions sales pipeline and order history.
Submit weekly and monthly sales performance reports market intelligence updates and competitor analysis to management.
Coordinate with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
Assist in forecasting demand and advising on stock levels for fast-moving PPE product lines.
Education
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Sales & Marketing Commerce Industrial Management or a related field.
A diploma or certification in Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) or Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) is an added advantage.
Experience
4 to 7 years of proven sales and marketing experience with a minimum of 3 years specifically in the PPE industrial safety or related B2B product sector.
Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a competitive industrial market.
Prior experience working with clients in manufacturing construction mining NGOs or government procurement is highly desirable.
Experience handling tender processes and institutional/corporate procurement is an advantage.
Technical Knowledge
Strong knowledge of PPE product categories safety standards (ISO EN ANSI) and their correct industrial application.
Familiarity with Ugandas Occupational Safety and Health Act and sector-specific safety regulations.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
Skills & Competencies
Exceptional communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Strong consultative selling and client relationship management abilities.
Self-motivated and target-driven with a hunter mentality for new business.
Ability to work independently and manage a wide territory across Uganda.
Analytical thinking with ability to interpret market data and adjust sales strategy accordingly.
Valid driving license and willingness to travel regularly to client sites and upcountry locations.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Luganda or other local languages is an advantage.
