Q-Sourcing Limited trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec is a manpower management solutions firm operating in the East African Region in the countries of Uganda Kenya Tanzania Rwanda and South Sudan.
On behalf of our client TOTAL Energies we are looking for a competent skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor EI to work at Site in Uganda
Reports to: Enabling Infrastructure Package
Department: Surface Facilities
Location: Site

Responsibilities
Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
Measure and value the work done on site.
Verify certificates of work for payment.
Liaise with the contractors construction professionals such as site managers project managers and site engineers.
Advise on contract interpretation.
Check the selection and/or source of construction materials.
Write reports on construction progress.
Minimize the cost and risk of a construction project and enhance value for money while still achieving the required time schedule.
Keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to document the same.
Ensure methods of measurement and valuation are appropriate to the work fair to client and contractor and technically applicable under the site conditions.
Analyze the drawing and specifications of the works and build up an independent cost estimate
Required Qualifications.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
Minimum 5-8 years experience in civil engineering or quantity surveying.

Required Skills:
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Professional experience: Bachelors degree in Social Sciences/Humanities Business Administration or any other related discipline. A related Masters degree will be an added advantage. Minimum 08 (eight) years of relevant professional experience in extractive industries including considerable experience in developing economies and international organizations. Good track record of working experience with lender financed projects including IFC & Equator Principles IV East Africa experience required Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and in a multi-cultural business setting. Experience and ability to effectively lead a team (mentoring delegation and motivation techniques); Analytical and stakeholder engagement skills. Technical competencies: Knowledge of CSO/NGO engagement human rights and legal and PIIM. Knowledge of International Human Rights Standards especially the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights the UN Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights and IFC Performance Standards. Behavioral competencies: Ability to work in a multi-cultural business setting. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
