Primary Purpose of the Role
The Finance and Administration Manager will oversee financial stewardship administrative efficiency and operational support in Uganda. This role is pivotal in ensuring complianceoptimizing resources and driving sustainable growth. The successful candidate will also deputise for the Country Head providing leadership continuity and strategic oversight when required.
Key Accountabilities
1. Financial Management & Strategic Growth
Lead budgeting forecasting and financial planning and controlling processes to support business objectives.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting including preparation of management accounts and statutory reports.
Present financial performance reports to the Board highlighting key trends risks and opportunities.
Establish and enforce budgetary controls to ensure disciplined expenditure and resource allocation.
Drive cost management initiatives to improve efficiency and profitability.
Provide strategic financial insights to support business expansion and market competitiveness.
Lead teams in executing financial growth initiatives and aligning operations with broader strategic goals
2. Administration & Operations
Manage procurement contracts and vendor relationships to ensure value for money.
Oversee office administration logistics and resource allocation.
Implement efficient systems for documentation record-keeping and compliance.
Support ICT and governance processes to align with Group policies.
3. Leadership & Governance
Deputise for the Country Head representing Parapet Uganda in client stakeholder and regulatory engagements.
Provide leadership to finance and administration teams fostering accountability and performance excellence.
Collaborate with Group leadership to align Uganda operations with regional strategy.
Champion ethical practices transparency and corporate governance standards.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or related field.
Professional certification (CPA ACCA CFA) is highly desirable.
Minimum 5 years experience in financial management and administration with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of Ugandan tax laws regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex operations.
Experience in facilities management service industry or related sectors is an added advantage.
