Senior Backend Engineer I Tunisia relocate to UAE

Our client is a software development and digital solutions company serving clients across the FinTech iGaming and Marketing sectors. The company has successfully delivered 20 innovative products across 5 international markets including Brazil Armenia Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

As part of the engineering team youll take ownership of the architecture and performance of the systems behind their products working closely with product teams to keep things scalable and reliable as the business keeps expanding into new markets. This is a role for someone who enjoys solving hard system-design problems as much as shipping clean dependable code.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with product teams to turn user and business requirements into scalable well-architected backend solutions.
• Own the full lifecycle of web application development from design through deployment.
• Design and build system architectures that stay fast and reliable as usage grows.
• Write unit and integration tests that catch problems before they reach production.
• Take part in incident response and post-mortems feeding lessons back into more resilient systems.
• Pitch in on other engineering tasks as the teams priorities shift.

Requirements:

• Solid grounding in data structures algorithms and system design fundamentals.
• 5 years of hands-on backend development experience with Java / Java Core.
• Practical experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Comfortable working across multiple database technologies MySQL MongoDB Redis and other NoSQL stores.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka RabbitMQ or ActiveMQ.
• Working knowledge of AWS and Docker for cloud deployment and containerization.
• Skilled in performance tuning indexing partitioning sharding and concurrent-programming optimization.
• Hands-on testing experience with JUnit and Mockito.
• Comfortable working within Agile development environments.
