Job Summary
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new features for POS applications to support business and operational needs
- Maintain enhance and optimize existing POS systems for performance and scalability
- Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions
- Integrate POS systems with backend services payment gateways and third-party APIs
- Ensure system security reliability and efficiency across all POS platforms
- Perform code reviews unit testing and support continuous integration and deployment
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues ensuring minimal downtime
- Document system architecture development processes and configurations
Key Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field
- Minimum 58 years of experience in software development with strong focus on POS systems
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C C# Java
- Hands-on experience with POS hardware and peripherals (e.g. printers scanners payment terminals)
- Strong knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and messaging systems (e.g. MQ)
- Experience with RESTful APIs and system integration
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong analytical thinking problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
