SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Key responsibilities:

• Maintaining accurate accounting records.
  
• Preparing monthly reconciliation for bank investment and brokerage accounts.
  
• Recording and monitoring investment transactions.
  
• Supporting monthly quarterly and annual financial reporting.
  
• Preparing audit working papers and responding to auditor queries.
  
• Assisting with regulatory and compliance reporting where required.
  

Key requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
  
• Professional qualification (CPA ACCA or equivalent) preferred.
  
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience preferably within an investment company brokerage fund manager asset manager or financial services environment.
  
• Strong understanding of stock market investments investment accounting and financial instruments.
  
• Experience performing bank investment portfolio and brokerage account reconciliations.
  
• Ability to prepare accurate monthly management accounts and supporting schedules.
  
• Strong audit mindset and professional skepticism with the ability to identify discrepancies challenge unusual transactions and investigate reconciling items thoroughly.
  
• Experience supporting external audits and preparing audit schedules.
  
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems.
