On behalf of our Tanzania based client we are looking for a competent and experienced GA Merchandiser
JOB SUMMARY.
Setting in store visibility as per agreed merchandising standards to realize maximum product visibility at all times and ensuring achievement of sales targets.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:
Shelf Health and Effective Administration
- Maintains store shelves by observing displays of company products
- Check quality continuously respond to poor quality or damage
- Keep area clean tidy and uncluttered including storeroom
- Observe and maintain perfect store through maintaining inventory by restocking shelves with product from inventory; observing inventory levels; prompting supervisors to reorder when levels appear low; arranging for return for damaged products.
- Identify cross merchandising opportunities and ensure execution after approval
- Provides information by reporting growth expansion or closing of supermarkets in assigned territory.
- Timeously identify problems areas and communicate to relevant party for resolution
- Observe call cycle by reviewing priorities with supervisor discussing special instructions product promotions new products and price changes.
- Document data or Input data on Handheld Terminals (HHT) with integrity and observing data hygiene.
- Ensuring that the set sales targets are achieved.
- Daily collection sales orders from the outlets.
- Observe layout and themes according to the planograms.
- Maintain Minimum number of stores required.
- Helps field sales representatives with special promotions by setting-up displays at aisle ends; checking daily on special promotions; observing customer reaction to special promotions; forwarding observations to management through supervisors; removing promotions at end of special promotion period.

- Enhances merchandising and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Ensure professional appearance and conduct
- Ensure company uniform is clean and tidy
- Maintains customer relationships by visiting store (modern trade outlets) & General Trade outlets and answering their questions; responding to special requests; describing product features.
- Knowledge of competitor Products and Positioning of our brands in the market.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications: Grade D (D Plus) in Secondary Education
Minimum Experience: 3 months experience in Merchandising

Required Skills:
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Professional experience: Secondary school education or its equivalent with sales experience Min Certificate/Diploma in Sales & Marketing or any related field Basic understanding of cement production process aggregates cement products and cement technical knowledge Strong knowledge of consumer industry Planning: Daily weekly monthly/quarterly and annual planning of activities; set visitation route customer schedules targets and performance monitoring scheme; work on agreed implementation plan - market execution plans. Organizing monitoring and controlling: Monitors and documents customers trends including complaints and trending problems; monitoring and documenting competitors movements and trends and controlled use of resources Strong range management Skills Sound verbal and written communication skills Basic computer knowledge Problem-solving and analytical or investigative skills Accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and to work long and irregular hours Excellent interpersonal skills Self-driven Proactive Energetic Flexible Integrity Team player ADDED ADVANTAGE: At least 1-2 years experience in sales and marketing field or construction or concrete industry. Bachelors degree in Sales & Marketing. Knowing how to ride a motorcycle.
